Zen meditation can be a great alternative to the more classic forms of meditation and even though it might be stricter, it can be fully enjoyed, especially after some weeks of practice. </p>
<p>&#13;What Does Zen Refer to?</p>
<p>&#13;In order to fully understand any Zen meditation instruction, you need to understand the basis of this practice. Zen is an actual form of Buddhism which is relying more on experimental facts and wisdom, as well as on the practice of Zen mediation, also known under the name of Zazen. </p>
<p>&#13;Zen meditation starts from the typical position called lotus which has numerous variations, such as half-lotus or seiza &#8211; also, there is the kinhin posture, which refers to meditating while walking. This practice is divided into Rinzai Zen and Soto Zen, which use different techniques, postures and adjacent objects in order to complete the meditation session. In a Zen meditation, the correct position and the breathing are essential. </p>
<p>&#13;An Efficient Beginner Zen Meditation Technique</p>
<p>&#13;The first Zen meditation instruction you need to be aware of is that you simply have to sit and empty your mind. This might sound easier that it actually is. In order to do that, you need to find the correct position &#8211; and it is advisable to start with the classic lotus position, meaning keeping your legs crossed in front of you, your hands in your lap and your spine erect. The purpose of this erect position is to make sure you don&#8217;t fall asleep. </p>
<p>&#13;The next Zen meditation instruction refers to contemplating. You can start with contemplating or simply looking at your left hand and gradually move on to looking at your arm. Your thoughts should be blank and you should push all potential thoughts away. Gradually, acknowledge your left part of the body, feel it and sense it as intense as possible. </p>
<p>&#13;With the help of this Zen Meditation instruction, you will activate the left part of your brain and so, your thoughts will basically disappear. At this point, you need to start your breathing session. Firstly, breathe in as slowly as possible and then breathe out the same way though your nostrils. Gradually, you have to push your inhalation and exhalation even deeper, taking bigger and longer inhales and exhales. </p>
<p>&#13;The goal of the Zen meditation program and of each Zen meditation instruction is to activate the left part of the brain, the part that is responsible for thinking, logic and science. If you want to start a Zen meditation program, then you need to make sure you apply each Zen meditation instruction correctly, in order to achieve that state of stillness and emptiness that is considered to be the ultimate Zazen goal. </p>
<p>&#13;This type of meditation tends to be stricter than other freer forms of anti-stress meditation, for example, but the results can be truly rewarding. Good luck and enjoy your new Zen meditation program!</p>

<p>Sales of prescribed weight loss pills and over the counter variants are going through the roof since the health scares surrounding types of this product caused it to be removed from circulation during the late 1990s. Links to heart valve disease were something of a death nail to the weight loss pill market.</p>
<p>Nowadays, the weight loss pill is experiencing a renaissance. According to the pharmaceutical companies these weight loss pills are made completely of natural ingredients and are no longer of risk but yet they are still dogged by health issues.</p>
<p>Weight loss pills can be either prescribed or bought over the counter and the difference between the two are briefly highlighted here:</p>
<p><strong>Prescription Weight Loss Pills:</strong></p>
<p>Weight loss pills that are prescribed are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration agency. These pills have been monitored and scrutinized by the administration prior to use by the general public and as such are deemed the safer option.</p>
<p>The most popular of these is Xenical which works by reducing the amount of fat consumed by the body by 30 %. Unfortunately, Xenical is still dogged by side effects that include passing gas, abdominal cramping, increased number of bowel movements, leakage of oily stool and a loss of total control over bowel movements.</p>
<p><strong>Over-the-Counter Weight Loss Pills:</strong></p>
<p>The temptation to use over-the-counter weight-loss pills is often irresistible and the fact that many are not regulated warrants the question, are these products safe?</p>
<p>There are many pharmaceutical companies cashing in on the revived weight loss pill market and this is mirrored by the myriad of products available. Here is a shortlist of products, their claims and what you need to know:</p>
<p><strong>1 Hoodia: </strong></p>
<p>Possibly one of the better known products, claims to decrease appetite substantially.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict:</strong> No conclusive evidence to support any of their claims.</p>
<p><strong>2. Alli:</strong></p>
<p>Reduces fat absorption by the intestines. A lesser strength variant of Xenical.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict:</strong> As one of the few FDA approved over the counter weight loss pills it has the benefit of backing to substantiate its weight loss claims.</p>
<p><strong>3. Guar gum:</strong></p>
<p>Stops absorption of fat and suppresses appetite.</p>
<p><strong>Verdict:</strong> Unlikely to cause weight loss, can cause gastrointestinal problems.</p>
<p><strong>4.Green tea extract:</strong> Much revered in certain circles as it is claimed to increase metabolism</p>
<p><strong>Verdict:</strong> Limited supportive evidence.</p>
<p>There are literally hundreds more all with relatively the same verdict. There is one resounding factor that all of these weight loss pills have in common. They all state that they are more effective when used in conjunction with a diet and a exercise routine.</p>
<p>If you decide to use a weight loss pill and follow its instruction to use a diet and an exercise program isn&#8217;t that hiding whether or not the tablet is effective or not?</p>
<p>Personally, I would forget the weight loss pill and look for an effective weight loss plan that will:</p>
<p><strong>1. NOT tell me to go on a low calorie diet yet still provide me with fast but sustained weight loss</strong></p>
<p><strong>2. NOT put my health at risk</strong></p>
<p><strong>3. NOT cost a fortune</strong></p>
<p><strong>4. NOT be difficult to keep up</strong></p>
<p>Never take diet drugs if pregnancy is suspected or if you are allergic to sulfites and tartrazine. Individuals under 18 or over 60 should consult their doctor prior to taking weight loss pills</p>

Calmness and peace are brought into the mind&#8217;s focus, and thereby replace feelings of worry, stress and depression. Negative thoughts can be replaced with positive ones in this manner.</p>
<p>&#13;Benefits of Meditation:</p>
<p>&#13;There are numerous physical and psychological benefits to meditation. As the body rests, the heart rate lowers, as does the metabolic rate and stress is dramatically decreased. Many negative physical and physiological reactions related to stress are decreased or eradicated altogether. Concentration is increased and memory is improved. Additionally, anxiety, depression, moodiness and irritability are decreased while feelings of vitality, happiness, rejuvenation and emotional stability are improved.</p>
<p>&#13;There are many forms of meditation and, although it has its origins in the Eastern cultures, the West is quickly learning the benefits of this relaxing practice. Most people think of meditation as some guy sitting on a pillow, legs crossed, eyes closed, humming. However, meditation can be done while sitting on a chair, lying down, sitting at your desk, or just about anywhere.</p>
<p>&#13;While the many different forms of meditation are as diverse as their styles, there is one thing that they have in common: they focus on calming and quietening a chaotic, busy mind.</p>
<p>&#13;What is the goal of meditation? The goal of meditation is not to end or remove the stimulation. It is more a training of the mind to direct focus and concentration to one element. This single element may be a single sound, a single word or thought, a single image or even the person&#8217;s own breathing. This is designed to bring calm and peace to the mind by making it focus so that worry, stress and depression are pushed aside. Negative thoughts can be replaced with positive ones in this manner.</p>
<p>&#13;All of the meditation methods can be grouped into one of two different categories, or styles. The first of these styles of meditation is concentrative. This means that the attention is focused on the breath, an image or a sound such as a mantra to still the mind and heighten awareness and clarity. Certain types of music can do this.</p>
<p>&#13;Concentrative meditation is the most popular style of meditation. The person sits quietly and focuses their attention on the breath, known as &#8220;conscious breathing.&#8221; This type of meditation is very good for relieving anxiety, stress and distraction because it causes the person to focus and relax.</p>
<p>&#13;To perform conscious breathing, sit in a chair or on a pillow on the floor. Close your eyes and breath in deeply through your mouth while saying to yourself, &#8220;I am breathing in.&#8221; When you exhale through your nose (or mouth), say to yourself, &#8220;I am breathing out.&#8221; Picture positivity being breathed in with each breath you take and negativity being expelled each time you exhale. Absorb yourself in the act of breathing in and out, think of nothing else.</p>
<p>&#13;The other type of meditation is mindfulness meditation. This type of meditation involves raising your awareness of all the sensations, feelings, images, thoughts, sounds and smells that you encounter each day. However, you do not dwell on them or become involved in thinking about them. The person simply sits quietly and observes the activity of the mind without being drawn into reacting to it or becoming involved in negative reactions to it such as depression or worry. Through this exploration, the person gains a clearer, calmer state of mind that is non-reactive as opposed to bogged down in worry and depression.</p>

<p>              Weight loss tips are everywhere nowadays. All you have to do is search the internet and you will find the next great weight loss tip. Some of the information is great and some of it is really bad. You like many others may be desperate to lose weight and the Devil knows this so he thought he would mess with your mind a little bit and give you his killer weight loss tips. Losing weight is an emotional effort and we have struggles, we get frustrated, we jump from one healthy weight loss diet to the next. We also try to focus on niche parts of our diet or weight loss thinking that this is going to be the cure to our weight problems. We think we have the problem solved and then up pops another mystery and we jump over to that problem. All we do is end up chasing weight loss techniques and never actually develop a solid nutritional foundation. So what the devil did was he turned the weight loss tips upside down. He figures you will jump from one strategy to the next without ever giving any of them a solid effort or actually develop any good healthy eating habits. If you were to follow the devils advice then he would want you to follow these &#8220;killer&#8221; weight loss tips. 1. Watch TV and sit on the couch a minimum of 5 hours a day. 2. Eat cakes and cookies 3x a day. 3. Eat fried food at every meal. 4. At every meal eat all carbohydrates. No lean lean protein or fat. Just carbohydrates all the time. 5. Eat late night high calorie desserts every night 7 nights a week. 6. Don&#8217;t exercise at all 7. Do as little activity as possible. The more activity you do the less likely you are to lose weight. Follow these &#8220;Killer&#8221; weight loss tips from the Devil and he says you will lose a lot of weight. I suggest you simply do the opposite of the devil&#8217;s weight loss tips. Sometimes we over think weight loss and forget many of the basics of an overall healthy thin body. Think simplicity and make sure you are doing the simple and foundational things when it comes to losing weight. You may surprise yourself and find that you lose weight. Following healthy eating guidelines is step 1 of losing weight. You will never permanently lose weight if you never develop your nutritional foundation. You will go from one strategy to the next. Another problem will appear and you will jump over to that after you have just fixed one problem. You will never actually achieve permanent weight loss. Master the solid nutritional principles that all weight loss has to be built on and then focus on problem areas or accelerating your weight loss. I just gave you seven principles above. What are they you ask? Do the opposite of what the Devil suggests above and you will be on your way to developing your own solid nutritional foundation.<br />

<p>Many of us often wonder what kind of treatments that drug addicts receive once they are sent to the addiction treatment centers. In fact, there are various kinds of treatments done in such treatment centers to help the patients overcome their addiction. The treatment programs can be divided into four, which are body treatment, mind treatment, inventory and self-discovery treatment and spirit treatment.</p>
<p>The first thing that the drugs <a href="http://www.tauc.us/drug-addiction-treatment.html">addiction treatment centers</a> do to their patients is helping them recovering their physical health. As we all know, drugs attack our internal organs and weaken our health. Most drug addicts who are sent to the treatment centers are not healthy—many organs of their bodies have been broken and cannot function maximally. Hence, they need treatments to heal and recover their body.</p>
<p>After their patients are improving in their physical health, the treatment centers usually help the patients to recover their mind. For the addicts, drugs do not only attack their body, but also their mind. They cannot help but thinking negatively, which often causes them to behave badly. Hence, mind treatment is essential to change their mind of thinking from negative to positive.</p>
<p>The next program is inventory and self-discovery treatment. Once the addicts can think normally, they usually begin to regret their past choices. Guilt is a feeling everyone should not ignore. If someone is too drowned in his guilt without anyone helps him to overcome it, he is likely will do something bad to ‘redeem’ himself. Thus, the treatment centers provide this program to lead the addicts not to be drowned in their guilt for using drugs, but to start a new chapter of their lives with hope.</p>
<p>Lastly, the program the drugs addiction treatment centers provide is the spirit treatment. Drugs addicts have a broken spirit—from being rejected by the society or their own beloved ones, hence they need help to recovery from that. Usually, spiritual and religious events are made to help them finding peace within themselves.</p>

During most of the show’s run, I was far too young to understand a lot of the innuendos. But it wasn’t too bad as far as primetime TV goes, so I watched it with my friends and family a lot.</p>
<p>When I was watching one of the earlier episodes, I remembered that my friend that was also obsessed with the show got her hair cut into the <a href="http://cool-hairstyle.blogspot.com/2009/11/jennifer-aniston-hairstyles.html">Rachel</a> style. Afterward, I begged my mom to let me get my hair cut in the same way until my friend said that she couldn’t really style her hair like that, so matter what she did. No wonder Jennifer Aniston’s hair looked good. She had on-set hair stylists! I looked up the actual hairstyle on <a title="wildblue deals" href="http://get.wildblue.com/">wildblue</a> when I was thinking about it and how today a lot of people are asking for Serena’s hairdo from “Gossip Girl” and finding out that they have as much trouble styling it too.</p>
<p>I’ll just stick to my own do for now, even though I know that Serena would have a hairstylist do her hair in real life if she existed outside of the TV screen.</p>
